BC Beer – Nelson Faceplant

The Nelson Brewing Company has been brewing down in the Kootenays since 1991. They went Certified Organic in 2006.
From the website:
What more can we tell you but this amazing organic ale is our best seller when available fresh in season. Faceplant is brewed with imported organic malted barley, brown sugar, and molasses. After a day on the slopes, tip back a few fresh free range Faceplants to warm the soul… Careful, the name says it all!
It pours brown with an off-white that gets out-of-town quickly. It has a sweet aroma, maybe some honey, subtle hints of vanilla, caramel, and citrus hops. The taste has some light sweetness, nuttiness, I got some spice flavours, cola, and subtle hop flavours. I found it surprisingly bitter, which caused a drying finish. However, I also found it over carbonated with a thin body and it the hopping wasn’t balanced.
