Hockey’s on. Let’s make this quick.
I never know what to expect when I beer labelled as a copper ale or amber ale. But with Howe Sound I usually expect something good contained in those large, yet attractive, bottles. My expectations were met. Mettleman is at first nice smooth, mellow, malty ale. Nice subtle flavours of caramel, toffee and nut. After the initial malt the hops start to kick in, a gentle spritzy fruit. Mettleman is all about smooth, subtle flavour, and lots of it.
