BC Beer – Phillips 9 Donkeys of the Hopocalypse
Phillips’ latest beer, brewed to celebrate their ninth anniversary, is a double IPA. And that is essentially what it is, a beefed up version of their regular IPA, Hop Circle. Lots of tropical flavours with a hints of pine and a warming alcohol that blends well with the assertive hoppiness. I’m assuming that it was a single batch, so I shouldn’t suffer from the horrible inconsistency that Hop Circle is plagued by. Pick up a bottle or three if you can find it. It is better than Amnesiac and, as with Hop Circle, no inconsistency issues.

I’m looking forward to tasting this one over here in Vancouver if I can get my hands on some!
I know that Brewery Creek got their order in today. I imagine that the other fine liquors in Vancouver got theres as well.
